A seasonal plan, with two visits a year, suits most homes that want clean windows for spring and the holidays. A quarterly plan, with four visits a year, suits homes that get a lot of dust, pollen or sprinkler spray, or owners who want glass that looks clean all year. Monthly service is usually for businesses or homes where the glass is a big part of the look.
Here is how to decide which schedule fits your home and your budget.
What is the difference between the plans?
At Clear & Clean, we offer three recurring plans plus a one-time initial clean:
- Seasonal: two visits per year.
- Quarterly: four visits per year. This is our most popular plan.
- Monthly: a visit every month.
Every plan includes priority scheduling, mineral and hard water remediation, our RainDefense finish and our 7-Day Rain Guarantee. The more often you schedule, the more you save on each visit. You can see the plan options when you build a quote on our free quote page.
When is a seasonal plan enough?
Two visits a year works well when:
- Your home does not sit near heavy construction or dirt roads.
- Sprinklers do not hit your windows, or you have adjusted them away from the glass.
- You mainly want clean windows at the times you notice them most, such as spring and before holiday guests.
Many homeowners time these visits for after spring pollen settles and again in the fall before the holidays.
When does quarterly make more sense?
Four visits a year is a better fit when dirt builds up faster than every six months. In DFW, common reasons include:
- Pollen. Spring and fall pollen can coat glass and screens in a few weeks.
- Dust and wind. Open fields, new neighborhoods and nearby construction send fine dust across the area.
- Sprinkler spray. Regular irrigation leaves mineral spots that harden if they sit too long.
- Big windows. Homes with large panes, glass doors or a view you care about show dirt sooner.
Quarterly service also helps stop hard water spots from building up, since each visit removes deposits while they are still fresh.
Who should consider monthly service?
Monthly cleaning is most common for storefronts, offices, restaurants and other businesses where clean glass is part of the first impression. For commercial customers we can also build weekly, bi-weekly or custom schedules around your hours. You can read about that on our commercial window cleaning page.
Some homes choose monthly service too, usually when there is a lot of glass facing a pool, lake or golf course, or when the owner simply wants the windows spotless all the time.
How do you decide if you are unsure?
A few questions can help:
- How fast do your windows look dirty after a cleaning? If it is only a couple of months, quarterly is likely the better match.
- Do you see white spots on the lower glass? That usually means sprinkler spray, which favors more frequent visits.
- How much do you notice the windows? If you look through large windows every day, clean glass makes a bigger difference to you.
- What does your budget allow? More visits cost more in total, but each visit costs less on a recurring plan.
You can always start with an initial clean, see how quickly the glass gets dirty again, and then pick a plan.
